In December, on the construction site of the third phase expansion project of Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport, which covers an area of over ten thousand acres, a truss weighing tens of thousands of hectares was lifted out of thin air, and mechanical sounds echoed one after another. The construction personnel of the southeast truss carried out their work in an orderly manner according to their respective division of labor, and the scene was filled with a hot scene of rushing to work and racing against time.

There are a total of 19 main trusses in the D area, which are managed by Southeast Grid. As of now, 14 trusses have been lifted into place. The construction of the main trusses in the D area is about to be completed, and only the secondary trusses are left to be lifted for the roof of the pier. The overall steel structure project is proceeding in an orderly manner.

Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is located in Lanzhou New Area, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, China. Southeast Grid has participated in the second phase expansion project of this project. The newly built T3 terminal has an area of 400000 square meters, which is 4.5 times the total area of the current T1 and T2 terminals.
The Phase III expansion project mainly involves the construction of a new West Second runway, which is 4000 meters long and 45 meters wide, 365 meters east of the existing runway (West First Runway), with a Class I precision approach system installed in both directions; A new East 1st runway with a length of 4000 meters and a width of 45 meters will be built 1870 meters east of the West 2nd runway. A Class III precision approach system will be installed at the northern end of the runway, and a Class I precision approach system will be installed at the southern end. Construct a 400000 square meter T3 terminal building and a 91 seat apron between West Runway 2 and East Runway 1, as well as a 270000 square meter comprehensive transportation hub.

After the project is completed and put into operation, Zhongchuan International Airport will also become one of the few international airports in China with three runways. It will also form a modern airport with three runways, three terminals, and coordinated operation of the east and west terminal areas. This will greatly enhance the image of Gansu as the "provincial gate" and become a regional comprehensive transportation hub with obvious characteristics and outstanding advantages in the northwest region, becoming a new driving force for the development of Gansu.
