Following the acceptance of the Linpu Sports Center, the successful renovation and upgrading project of the Xiaoshan District Sports Center has recently passed the event function acceptance of the Asian Games Organizing Committee.

On December 22nd, the Venue Construction Department of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, together with the Competition Department, Security Department, External Relations Department, Propaganda Department, Information Technology Department and other departments, conducted a functional acceptance of the Xiaoshan District Sports Center renovation and upgrading project constructed by Southeast Grid.

The person in charge of the renovation and upgrading project of Xiaoshan District Sports Center introduced the pre acceptance status of the event functions, and reported on the project acceptance status around sports technology, information technology and communication support infrastructure, security infrastructure, electrical configuration, and other aspects.

After on-site inspection, each department of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee provided professional opinions on the renovation and upgrading project of the Xiaoshan District Sports Center based on their respective main venue content, and passed its event function acceptance.

Next, the project department of Xiaoshan District Sports Center will carefully polish some details and do a good job in maintenance according to the requirements proposed by experts, laying a solid foundation for smoothly undertaking the football and weightlifting events of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games.

Project Introduction

The total investment for the renovation and upgrading project of Xiaoshan Sports Center for the Hangzhou Asian Games is 427.93 million yuan, with a total construction area of 45000 square meters. The renovation and upgrading project mainly includes the structural renovation of the sports stadium, the renovation and upgrading of the sports hall, the construction of a new 18000 square meter underground parking lot, the integrated upgrading of pipelines, power supply and distribution systems, green landscapes, and floodlighting within the scope of the sports center land. As a sub division of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, Xiaoshan Sports Center will host two important events, football and weightlifting, and is expected to produce 14 gold medals.

In addition, incorporating the spirit of Xiaoshan and the Olympic spirit into the design concept is the essence of the entire renovation and upgrading project. The sports stadium, gymnasium, and other surrounding venues will utilize the rhythmic curves, like the passionate Jiang Chao expressing faster, higher, and stronger sportsmanship, showcasing the urban spirit of Xiaoshan.
