Recently, Southeast Grid has achieved great success in the field of general contracting, winning the bid for the West Lake Sports Center reconstruction general contracting project.

The general contracting project for the reconstruction of West Lake Sports Center is located in the northwest corner of Huanglong Sports Center in Yuquan Unit, West Lake District, east of Yugu Road and north of Xixi Road. The original site of West Lake Sports Center will be rebuilt. The reconstructed sports arena has increased from 19000 square meters to 46000 square meters, including a 3000 seat basketball court and a 10 story comprehensive national fitness center. In the future, it will become a comprehensive sports venue, benefiting about 900000 people in Xihu District and surrounding areas after reconstruction.

The main building of the National Fitness Center is a steel frame structure. The frame columns are box columns, which are cantilevered outward all around, mainly in the form of cantilevered steel beams. slant support are set between local floors, which form a truss with cantilevered steel beams. The maximum cantilevered distance is 10.2m.

The West Lake Sports Center is a symbol of the sports image of West Lake District and a witness to the development of sports in West Lake District.
The earliest sports venue in Xihu District was the Yuquan Swimming Pool built in 1937. At that time, the swimming pool was open-air with 6 lanes and was only open for two months in summer.
In order to provide a good place for people to exercise in their daily lives, in 1998, Xihu District moved sports equipment such as single parallel bars, double elliptical machines, and three person waist twisting discs to the "doorstep" of ordinary people, which is now a common fitness park in the community. In 2003, all residential areas in Xihu District already had such fitness centers.
In 2004, Xihu District welcomed its first large-scale comprehensive sports venue: the 2500 seat Xihu Sports Center. The sports center covers an area of 41 acres with a building area of 9512 square meters. The first floor is an ice skating rink and the second floor is a sports center. This place has hosted training and competitions for various activities such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, and martial arts. Many large-scale conferences and cultural events have also been held here.
On August 21, 2018, in order to cooperate with the construction of the transfer station project between Metro Line 3 and Line 10, West Lake Sports Center was closed to the public. According to the plan, after the completion of the subway project, the West Lake Sports Center will be rebuilt on the original site.
The person in charge of Xihu District Cultural and Tourism Group introduced that the new Xihu Sports Center is much larger than the original one, covering an area of about 12400 square meters and a total construction area of about 46500 square meters. It will build a basketball court that can accommodate 3000 people and a 10 story comprehensive national fitness center.
According to the plan, the main construction of the new West Lake Sports Center will be completed and accepted by the end of December 2023.
